Debut single addresses the search for shelter and comfort amid the chaos caused by the pandemic.
AIUKÁ is Guilherme Krema's solo project (musician, writer and cultural producer based in Bento Gonçalves - RS). AIUKÁ was born out of the process of composing Krema in social isolation due to the Corona Virus pandemic. His yet to be released EP ‘Red Tigers on Mars Hunting Shooting Stars’ will feature 7 songs produced, recorded and mixed in his room, resulting from the plunge into his personal and creative imagery to address topics such as loneliness and affection in postmodernity. The project brings references from alternative Brazilian music such as AIYÉ, Boogarins and Vitor Brauer, mixing collages and electronic textures, in search of a particular and experimental sound.
Released on 02/04, ‘Refúgio’ is the first single from AIUKÁ, and talks about finding comfort and shelter amid the chaos that we live in Brazil affected by the pandemic, in which social isolation and the constant death generate a cluster of anxiety, longing and fear of the future.
