The live album, recorded at Dallas’ Starplex Amphitheater on October 13th, 1995, captures the Outside Tour.
Another unreleased David Bowie concert will be released on streaming services July 3rd - Ouvrez Le Chien (Live Dallas 95). This second release comes after Bowie’s previously unreleased 1999 live album LiveAndWell.com was issued last month. Contrary to LiveAndWell.com which was originally available on the now-defunct BowieNet, but never received a commercial release after it was shared on the online platform 19 years ago, Ouvrez Le Chien was not available before. A third live album is expected to be released next month.
The setlist leans heavily on tracks from the Outside album, including “The Voyeur of Utter Destruction (as Beauty),” “I Have Not Been to Oxford Town,” “I’m Deranged,” and “The Hearts Filthy Lesson.”
The album also contains updated takes on classics like “Teenage Wildlife,” “The Man Who Sold the World,” and “Andy Warhol.” There are two versions of “Under Pressure”, one from the concert and another, included in the bonus tracks, along “Moonage Daydream”, both recorded at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, December 13 1995 and available as B side of “Hallo Spaceboy” single.
Listen to "Teenage Wildlife" from the new album.
